
Course Description
The course introduces the structure and function of the human body. You will read about the cells, tissues and membranes that make up our bodies and how our major systems function to help us develop and stay healthy. If you plan to take the Anatomy & Physiology college-credit course for life science and allied health majors in this future, this course is ideal for you to give yourself a head-start and provide you with foundational knowledge to get ready for your class.
- Use correct terminology and memory tricks to remember the essential vocabulary.
- Discuss the chemistry, cell structure, and tissues of the human body.
- Identify and explain the structure and functions of each body system.
- Explain the role of each body system in maintaining homeostasis.
