General information

FreeCampus offers free, online, non-credit courses supported by USG eCampus. These courses help students strengthen academic skills for college-level work or explore new subjects, all with no tuition or hidden costs.

Registration & Enrollment

  1. Complete the FreeCampus Enrollment Form linked on our website.
  2. eCampus will create your GoVIEW account and enroll you in your selected course(s).
  3. You’ll receive your GoVIEW login credentials by email, usually within one hour. However, it may take until the course start date. Check your spam/junk folder for an email from donotreply@go.view.usg.edu.
  4. Before logging in, you’ll be prompted to set up two-factor authentication. Instructions are here:  Two-Factor Setup Guide

Technical Information & Support

 A personal computer with internet access is recommended. To check your system, visit the Technical Requirements page.

Using GoView

Here are key tools you may use in your course:

  • Email – Send messages to your instructor and classmates.
  • Calendar – View course deadlines, virtual office hours, and more.
  • Classlist – See enrolled students, message peers, and check who’s online.
  • Discussions – Join forum-style discussions based on course topics.
  • Assignments – Submit coursework and receive instructor feedback.
  • Quizzes – Take timed tests with multiple question types.
  • Self-Assessments – Practice questions with instant feedback (not graded).
  • Grades – Track your performance and review feedback.
  • Awards – See any badges or certificates you’ve earned.
  • Locker – Store and access documents privately.
  • Instant Messenger – Chat with classmates or instructors in real time (if used).
  • Help – Tool-specific help available anywhere in the system.

Certificates and micro-credentials

Yes. If you earn 75% or higher on the course’s post-test final assessment, you will receive a Certificate of Completion. Courses marked with a red shield with an "e" (see icon below) also offer a micro-credential (digital badge through Credly).

Credly Sharing Badges

Credly is a platform used to issue and manage FreeCampus digital badges. It follows Open Badge Standards, which means the badges are secure, verifiable, and widely accepted.
