Anyone can enroll, not just students enrolled in USG institutions. FreeCampus is open to high school students, adult learners, returning college students, and the public.

No. These courses are non-credit and do not appear on academic transcripts. They are intended for skill-building, exploration, and preparation.

Yes. All courses are asynchronous, meaning you can work at your own pace. Courses are open for sixteen weeks during the fall, summer, and spring semesters. Some courses aren't offered in the summer. Check the course info page for availability.

Course topics include both foundational subjects (e.g., Anatomy & Physiology Prep, Math Foundations, and Library Instruction) and interest-based content (e.g., Guitar for Beginners or Introduction to Marketing).

1. Log into GoVIEW using your existing credentials.
2. Select Discover from the main navigation bar.
3. Browse courses in the Discover section or search by name.
4. Click the course title, then click Enroll in Course.
5. You’ll be able to access the course materials once it begins.

No. There is no penalty for not completing a FreeCampus course. These are optional, non-credit courses. If you stop participating, your access will simply end when the course concludes.

GoVIEW is the online learning management system (LMS) used for FreeCampus courses. You’ll log in at https://go.view.usg.edu using the username and password emailed to you.

If you already have an existing account, use your previous username and password or use the Forgot Password link to reset and gain access.

If you are a student new to GoVIEW use the username emailed to you and follow the instructions to set up your initial password.

Only new accounts will receive a registration email within 48 hours of signing up. The system assigns one email per account and does not send registration emails to existing users. If you’ve forgotten your username, please contact our help desk.

At the GoVIEW login screen, select “Forgot your password?” and provide the username emailed to you.

A micro-credential is a secure, verified digital badge that proves you’ve demonstrated a specific skill or competency. They are shareable and recognized by many employers.

You must complete the course and meet the specific requirements, which usually include scoring 75% or higher on a final exam or portfolio.

Only select FreeCampus courses include micro-credentials. Check the course listings on the FreeCampus website to see which are eligible.

No. Micro-credentials recognize skill achievement but are not credit-bearing.

No. All FreeCampus offerings, including courses with micro-credentials, are completely free.

You’ll receive an email from admin@credly.com with steps to create your Credly account and claim your badge. If you don’t see the email, check your spam folder.

• Your resume or website

They’re easy to share and show others what you’ve achieved. Employers can see exactly what skills you’ve demonstrated. Credly also provides labor market data connected to your badge.

Yes. Credly badges are Open Badge Infrastructure (OBI) compliant. You can download and upload them to other platforms like Badgr Backpack.
